Why PrepCorps?

Our Students Can Answer That.

Five Stars -- "This course is very helpful!! As someone who tried another prep course (Kaplan), PrepCorps is beyond leaps and bounds better. In terms of course, the structure, content, the flow of the class, all build upon the previous weeks, so the material learned feels fluid and connects altogether. But most of all, the factor I would say won me over was the caring aspect of the course. They (the instructors for the classes) actually care whether we learn, the students taking the course. The classes are relatively small, so the learning environment is catered towards the amount of effort put from the students. Kaplan made me lose confidence in whether I was cut out for grad school, but PrepCorps re-ignited that confidence in me that I can succeed.

If you're in/around the Seattle area and thinking about going beyond your undergrad degree, take PrepCorps instead of one of those "big name" prep courses like Kaplan or Princeton. PrepCorps not only cares about your learning throughout your time with the course, the investment you're putting in is also helping South American children be literate. Think of it as the instructors advocating for your success for the GRE/GMAT as you advocate for someone in their success in South America."

Sunny, GRE student from Seattle

[my instructor] was very intelligent and able to answer many of the questions we asked about math that were not necessarily covered in the slides even. He's got a great personality and integrates a lot of cool tips and tricks to make the exam easier.

Mystery, GMAT student from Seattle

"This class was exactly what I needed. I hadn't dealt with any of the GRE-style math in a long time, and didn't really know how to go about structuring study for it. This really did cover everything needed in a well-structured, well thought out and presented way. Everyone at Prepcorp is a delight, and made certain I had all my questions (both GRE and class-related) answered and that I was getting the info I needed. Thanks a ton, guys! "

Katherine, GRE student from Seattle

"Five stars -- The instructors (Gina & Andrew) were great! They took the time to break down and answer any GMAT questions that we had. They offered us tips, and insights about the GMAT that I don't think I would have picked up on if I was studying for it on my own. Overall the class was a great way to get started to prep for the test. If I had to add anything for future classes would be emphasizing the importance of the "growth" mindset throughout the course."

Caroline, GMAT student from Seattle

Four stars -- "I had a good time in class. I thought the tutors did very well in teaching the material. I am happy to have taken the GRE prep class because they tutors were very helpful when I was struggling on a problem or had a question. The tutors were nice and brought a good and positive atmosphere in the classroom. I looked forward to coming to every class. I thought yall did well in having a hw assignment for each week to keep all the students accountable and provided us guidance in what to do. I liked how the vocabs were separated into different topics to make it easier to memorize the words. I like how the tutors are college students so it made it easier to relate."

Peter, GRE student from Seattle

Five stars -- "PrepCorps is extremely helpful, whether it be for resumes and cover letters to general inquiries about job applications. Not only is Estee detail oriented, but she is also passionate about what she does. I learned important vocabulary, format and instructions for resumes and cover letters. Highly recommended. Go sign up for PrepCorps!"

"I wanted to let you know I scored a V: 157/ Q: 155 on today's exam. In August (one month ago) I scored a V:150/Q: 151 so I'm definitely excited about this improvement. I've been very emotional about this whole experience - going from highs of "I'm going to rock this" to lows of "I will never get into school." These scores get me within the range of some of my middle tier & safety schools and validate the work I've put into preparing for this. However, since I'm so damn close, I am going to take one more shot at it in November. More importantly - thank you for all the support. This is a very lonely process but you guys make it so much less lonely and overall easier to deal with."

 Rosie, Online GRE, Denver

Four stars -- "I truly appreciate the question tips and strategies. Questions like data sufficiency felt insufferable until taking this course.

I think the tutors do a good job with alleviating some common anxieties about the exam, but also setting some realistic expectations."

 Jason, GMAT student from Seattle

"Thank you both for your support! It has helped me so much. Happy with the score and really appreciative of your skill and patience as tutors.

Quant: 46, Verbal: 45, IR: 8
Total: 730"

Abby, GMAT student from Seattle

"It is so easy to read online about GMAT horror stories and storm trooper candidates who wake up taking cold showers while reciting pie to the 100th decimal. But being taught by current students has eradicated this perception completely. Interacting with our instructors has been an awesome experience; it really reminds me of why I am going through this process and I am inspired to see normal (extraordinary, but normal) people in a place where I hope to be soon. In summary, the student teacher interaction has helped inspire confidence in myself and reminds me to keep the big picture of the GMAT in frame."

 John, GMAT student from Seattle

"THE GRE WENT SO WELL I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY SCORE AHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH. 161 Verbal, 150 Quant! And the quant is a miracle because they sent me to the super hard math section which was lol. Thank you so much for everything, seriously!!!"

 Sheila, GRE student from Seattle

Four stars -- "I like the instructor's availability, the information and access to additional materials and the structure of the clsas. To be even better, the price should be decreased. Although it's not worth the amount of money I paid, I still recommend the class for someone who's been out of school for a while. More than anything, I got a reality check out of it, meaning I didn't realize just how much I needed to study to get the score I want. This class really helped me put together a realistic study plan, gave me access to another resource that I found extremely helpful, and I was able to network with other potential MBA candidates which was fantastic."

Five stars -- "The course provided valuable insight to strategies, problem solving and better understanding the test. The instructor went out of her way to accommodate my work requirements. I am a categorical learner and breaking down the sections helped organize my strategy. However, I think there could be a 1-2 consolidated review sheet for each section. This will help memorize the necessary formulas and strategies. I would tell future students to do as much homework as possible. Also, I would tell them that the classroom environment with collaborative learning really helps to understand different approaches to the same problem."

  Will, GMAT student from Seattle

Five stars -- "The organization of class time was great! And I really liked that there were so many resources available to me. I also really appreciate that they, like Magoosh, are available after the course is complete so that further studying is doable."

Five stars -- "Loved the real experience/ examples - study tips, test-taking tips, etc. Very helpful in preparing for all aspects of the test - the content as well as general knowledge of the test."

Four stars -- "Class was very helpful, instructors were patient, study materials and homework sheets were useful as well. I have recommended Prep Corps to my friends who are on the fence about when and how to start studying for the GRE. This class gave me a huge push in the right direction and I am very glad I signed up. I will continue to use the study materials to prepare for retaking the GRE to see if I can get an even higher score :)"

Ben came to class with tons of energy every single week while we (the students) were very tired and cognitively fatigued. He did a great job explaining concepts to us over email when we had questions - with very quick responses. He was also flexible with our start times/schedules when something important came up.

Mystery GRE Student from Seattle

He was always available and had excellent follow-through. I appreciated all of his tips and tricks.

"Dear Estee, Stephen, David, and Ryna,

I got my GRE scores back today and am so happy to report that I scored higher than I ever could have dreamed!

Pre-test score: 163 Q, 159 V
Post-test score: 170 Q, 164 V, 5.5 W

Thank you so much to all of you wonderful PrepCorps staff for helping me on my way to achieve my goals!!"

Zichen, GRE student from Seattle

She was amazing! Obviously very smart and well-versed in the GRE study materials, but also very patient and able to explain the concepts in creative ways so that every student could understand. She clearly cared about us, and she shared examples from what she was reading and what she had experienced in ways that encouraged everyone else to open up, too. Her approach made the class a wonderful experience that also prepared me well for the GRE.

Mystery, GRE student from Seattle

His lessons were well prepared, he was clear with his explanations but also fast and to the point, and he was always super positive and supportive during class. It felt like Jackson genuinely wanted us to succeed.

Mystery, GMAT student from Seattle

saved my life with math. I’m SO shy about how hard simple math can be and she seriously was so amazing and my score and confidence skyrocketed! <3

Estee is awesome & cares a lot about her students! I have enjoyed taking classes with Estee.

Charlie was very thorough and gave extremely helpful tips on how to be successful in the GMAT especially with math and comprehensive reading. He also gave a lot of insight regarding his experiences in his career and as a current MBA student. In addition to that, he gave an extensive explanation to a math problem that I had emailed him about and provided multiple ways I could’ve solved the problem. My experience with Prepcorps was already exceptional and Charlie made it an even better experience with his help and expertise. I will forever recommend any one who needs assistance for examination prep to go through Prepcorps due to the incredible tutors I had for my GMAT prep.

Mystery, GMAT student from Seattle

"Estee (founder and tutor) was a life saver. I really needed help studying for the quantitative section of the GMAT and she developed a plan for how to tackle it within my budget and timeline. The practice, coaching and tips she gave me were invaluable and I actually felt prepared on test day. My quant score ended up even higher than my verbal and I got into my #1 school with a scholarship based on my 730 score! I would highly recommend."

Sophie, GMAT student from Seattle

Five stars -- "They aren't just GMAT tutors, they are helpers and care about your future ambitions. They have been in our seat before and know what its like to be in the situation that we are in. They take the time to make sure you understand and concept and teach it in a way that you understand to tackle problems of all difficulties. Great tutors, comfortable environment and awesome techniques!"

Dominick, GMAT student from Seattle

"I had a wonderful experience with PrepCorps. They provided us with resources such as worksheets, office hours, discounts on tutoring, and free practice exams over the weekend. I appreciated the structure of the course - it helped make studying for the GRE less stressful. The benefits of taking a course v. self-studying is that I was held accountable to study everything within the duration of the class if I wanted to keep up and get my money's worth (which I do, it's not cheap!) If you do self-study, it is easier to keep pushing back study time because we have busy lives. It's been a couple of years, since I've taken a class, so having an instructor was helpful. The staff are genuine and professional. I highly recommend them.

Estee was very accommodating when I registered my friends and I for the GRE prep course. She responded timely and gave awesome customer service. My instructors (David, Eshan) are super knowledgeable. David is a math wizard and it is apparent in his teaching style that he has plenty of experience helping folks with different levels of understanding of math succeed. Eshan brings so much energy to class. I appreciate how he gets everyone involved in his teaching style - he also gave crucial tips on the verbal that I wouldn't have known on my own if I didn't take the course."

"FIVE STARS!!! The organization of classtime was great! And I really liked that there were so many resources available to me. I also really appreciate that they, like magoosh, are available after the course is complete so that further studying is doable

Our math tutor, David, was especially knowledgable about the material and able to break down questions when we were confused."

Mystery GRE student from Seattle

"I did alright! 154 on quant and 164 on verbal. And I know I did better on the writing too. Feels like I hit about my potential... Your tutoring improved my quant score by 5pts in about two weeks! Thanks so much for all your help."

John, GRE student from Seattle

"Charlie was an excellent tutor... he was very attentive and responsive to my concerns and weak areas. His tutoring method was very clear, additionally he created outlines and plans for my self-study which I believe were very helpful for my improved score of 110 points in just one month! I would give him a 10/10. I am very pleased with your services, response times, and results."

Michael, GMAT student from Seattle

"Gina and Won are AWESOME! I really appreciated that they were patient, helpful, and explained the problems and solutions very well. The tips and strategies on tackling certain types of problems were helpful as well."

Joe, GMAT student from Seattle

Four stars -- "Math was great. I felt that I was well coached on all the different formulas and math rules that were needed to approach the material. Lots of good practice questions and explanations. Both teachers were really good and were wonderful with answering any questions that we had or diving deeper into a solution that I was unclear on. The class definitely kept me motivated and got me up to speed and going. Now ready to take from here with Magoosh and more home practice before test time."

Mystery GRE Student from Seattle

Five stars -- "The technology used by PrepCorps really made it easy to engage with other classmates and the tutors. I really felt like we were all together in a classroom. The tutors effectively used this technology to clearly go over the lesson plans. I would definitely recommend PrepCorps to other busy young professionals looking for GRE assistance."

Nathan, Online GRE, Seattle

Five stars -- "Although my personal life was hectic during the course, being around like-minded people helped me prepare the exam. With a lot riding on the GMAT exam, it is essential to prepare accordingly. Having a support system like PrepCorps will help you achieve a better score by keeping you true to your study habits and show you different ways to approach each problem and the entire exam."

 Josh, GMAT student from Seattle

Five stars -- "The teaching was great! You made the GMAT more understandable and I felt like my knowledge improved. If you are going to take this course, just make sure to have time to devote to studying."
